Refund Policy
How subscription billing, cancellations, and refunds work at Proofo — in plain terms.
Last updated: 3 July 2026
The short version
Plans and billing
Proofo offers a free tier and paid subscriptions (currently The Specialist and The Dealmaker), billed monthly or yearly in advance. Prices are shown in the app and may change with notice for future billing periods. Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Each renewal is charged at the start of the new billing period.
- You're responsible for any taxes that apply to you.
Cancellations
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings, or by contacting us. When you cancel:
- Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for — cancelling doesn't cut off access immediately.
- You won't be charged again after the current period ends.
- Your account then reverts to the free tier; your sealed documents remain yours.
Refunds
Except where mandatory law requires otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable, and we don't provide partial refunds for unused time within a billing period.
That said, we want you to be treated fairly. If you were charged in error, hit a genuine billing problem, or believe your situation warrants it, contact us at support@proofo.app and we'll review it in good faith.
EU right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services.

How to request a refund
Email support@proofo.app from the address on your account. Please include the name on the account and, if you have it, the order or invoice reference from your payment receipt. We aim to respond within a few business days.
